Jacksonville Cecil Commerce Center
This Amazon Fulfillment Center is one of only 75 fulfillment centers in the United States. The facility is a non-sort distribution warehouse where products are STORED, PICKED, PACKED and SHIPPED. The building is amazingly large; 570 ft. wide by 1,782 ft., or over 1/3 of a mile, long.
The facility generates over 3,600 vehicles per day with 1,300 parking spaces and 450 tractor-trailer spaces. Nineteen acres of pond was designed and constructed to accommodate the large volume of stormwater runoff from these paved areas and the 23 acres of roof drainage.
Prosser | PRIME AE’s comprehensive engineering services included stormwater modeling and engineering to ensure rapid discharge of stormwater and a deviation to the city’s parking code to accommodate Amazon’s large parking requirements.
