FDOT SR 9B Roadway Landscape

This roadway design project stretches 5 miles along SR 9B, starting at the I-95 Interchange north to 9A, including the US-1 interchange. The landscape design takes a naturalistic approach, utilizing native plant materials to “revegetate” the FDOT right-of-way. Local stakeholders and citizens were involved at public meetings where large, graphic renderings of the entire right-of-way were presented. The project included comprehensive development of construction documents comprised of landscape, irrigation, and traffic control plans.
